Altus Prep is an AI-native revision platform. We provide self-directed learning tools, practice questions, and exam technique aids. Altus Prep is not a school, tutoring service, or accredited educational institution.

Our resources are aligned with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) standards to provide students with high-fidelity revision support.

Regulatory Framework

  • Operating under Dubai DED E-Trader Licence (application pending).
  • Compliant with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (Personal Data Protection Law).
  • Compliant with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 for UK users.
  • All interactions are automated and driven by AI to facilitate independent student mastery.

AI Transparency

  • All tutoring interactions are generated by artificial intelligence, not human tutors.
  • Student questions are processed by AI providers: Google Gemini, Groq, and Cloudflare Workers AI.
  • AI uses the Socratic method — it guides students through problems rather than providing direct answers.
  • AI-generated content may contain errors and should not be treated as authoritative academic guidance.
  • No automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects are made by the platform.

Data Protection Measures

  • Explicit Consent: Captured during authentication and student onboarding.
  • Right to Erasure: Students can request permanent deletion of their learning progress.
  • Encryption: All cross-border data transfers are encrypted via TLS 1.3.
  • International Transfers: Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) govern international data transfers.
  • Data Residency: Data stored in EU region (Supabase) with global edge delivery (Cloudflare).

Protection of Minors

  • Platform designed for students aged 14-18.
  • No targeted advertising or behavioral profiling.
  • Parental/guardian consent required for account creation.
  • No free-text public chat — study rooms use ambient presence only.
  • Room names filtered for inappropriate content.
  • Display names sanitized and limited to 20 characters.
